Hi, Bobby, and welcome to the site! I can see how Andre’s material would appeal to you…definitely something to work towards! Glad to hear you are getting started on some more accessible tunes.
Lots of great lessons still to be published from Andre…as well as the other instructors on this site.
All the best in your fiddling adventures!

HI Robert,
Well i think you have found the right place as this music is learned best in the aural tradition with the teacher right in front of you, so keep at it and I’m sure you will get some results with the slow down vids and close up details.
BTW, since you’ve been listening for a long time you will easily pick it up because its now in your…[Read more]

Greetings Everyone…
I live in the Greater Toronto Area and I’m still stunned to the ever-loving maximum that I cannot find a fiddle teacher : It’s actually how I found you guys and gals here!
I watched a few of André’s videos and, being of Acadian heritage, I have an extremely strong attachment to his work. His lessons are a stretch and long…[Read more]

Hi, MontanaViola. I’ll add Durang’s to my list to record for when I’m back in the studio later this spring…Cattle in the Cane is a great breakdown as well, but I’d have to learn a version. Thanks for chiming in!

Hi, Devanny.
Thanks for the positive feedback on Kevin’s lessons. Sligo Maid is pending backup tracks, but RD and BM are ready to produce. I’ll bump them up to the top of Niall’s list.

Hi Casey,
I would definitely be interested in the Sligo Maid as its a tune I’ve been trying to get a handle on for a long time.
Rogaire Dubh and Ballyhoura mountains would also get my vote.
Regards

Hi, Larry and Seadamson.
I agree we need more slower tunes from Andre. We have a couple more slow ones recorded but not yet produced, but the majority of his lessons from his first sessions are reels. I’ll add those titles to the suggestion list for the next time we get him in studio.
Speaking of studio seasons, I do plan to start recording n…[Read more]

I like your list the only thing I ask is to have more of Andre slower pieces like The Breath of and angel or Autumn Sky and Tooth fairy jig and Belle Aurora to mention a small few
I’m sure once you here them you would agree they show his beautiful talent. -

Hi, Sylvia. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Niall’s lessons. Yes – I think we had just wrapped up recording with Niall when I first started this thread…below are the tunes he recorded (some of which have already been published). Feel free to advocate for any you’d like to see sooner than later. I can tell you that some still need backup track…[Read more]

Hi Casey,
It seems there is no list for Niall Murphy in your original post (or am I overlooking it?). His lessons are totally rocking’ my learning boat 🙂 do you have more recordings from him than have already been published? – Cheers! – Sylvia

Hi, Failte.
Patti recorded that tune already…I believe we need guitar tracks for it, but the lesson is already in the can, so to speak. I’ll make sure we cut guitar for that tune on the next session…stay tuned for sometime later this year…
