Right on Casey, the traditional rests are tried and true. I was very intrigued at the end pin mounting system that allows the shoulder rest to float free and is not in contact in with the violin. I’ll put my two cents in…I used a Kun rest for years and was pretty happy with it. However, a great fiddle player named Gary Mackey turned me on to Wolfe rests.
