I’ve seen a few videos by Mitch Reed, and he does a good job of explaining Cajun. I think he recently moved to Maine, so maybe Patti or Hanneke might know him. Anyway, something to think about.

The Fiddler’s Fake Book has a pretty good version of Bluegrass In The Backwoods that seems very close to what Kenny Baker plays. I’m a fiddle hack but have managed to learn it well enough, that if I got together with a guitar player who could provide rhythm, I’d give it a try. Anyway, it’s a good way to start.

I would like to request a new tune lesson of Roanoke, the Bill Monroe tune. Both the lead and the harmony parts. Maybe Megan and Casey could team up together on the twin fiddle parts. Thanx.

Maybe a possible solution would be to pan the backing track into one channel and the performance into the other channel. (Left & Right channels). Then if someone didn’t want the backing track, pan left or right to hear just the performance.
