@fiddalessonsgmail-com Hi Casey, I was wondering if you know of any feedback from the footwork lesson that Andre teaches? I am sure I need to give this more time, but how long should this take to catch on? I can’t play fiddle at the same time. Just singing and footwork is the most I can do. But, I will keep at it!!! Thanks very much!

  I haven’t received any feedback yet related to André’s footwork lessons….that said, I can’t talk or do much of anything else when I’m playing fiddle…so I have a feeling that you almost need to develop the footwork separately as a skill that requires no active thought…then add it in.
  
  I think that if both the footwork and fiddling are subconscious, you are a pro…but at least ONE of them have to be subconscious. I can generally focus on one thing at a time, so if I was learning footwork, I’d start with a tune that I knew front to back….stick with it!! Then you can teach me 👍🏻

    That’s a great answer….practice the footwork enough so that it is subconscious effort. I will go with that. Knowing my focus is limited as well, because most tunes takes every ounce of attention I can give, this will be a challenge. For sure, I owe you a lesson if I ever get this down………Thank you for your quick and appropriate response, Casey!
