<p>The only thing I might suggest is stretching your hands/thumbs for 5 minutes before &amp; after playing&#8230;I know that is a good idea in general, and I would think it would at least help some?? </p>

How often do you have to change those?  Are they pretty resilient?</p>
<p>That fiddle I bought had a set of Infelds, not sure which version.  Even though they were pretty old.. I kinda liked the way they sounded.</p>
<p>I put a set of Helicores from another instrument, and they were way way too bright.. its a pretty loud fiddle.<br />
